San Bernardino pitcher Ted Chong did his part in helping his team beat the Irving Blue Sox, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Chong, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk. San Bernardino occupies second place in the Silver AA at 38-26.
Willemstad, Curaçao-born Reinaart Manshert came through in the clutch. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st and the Grasshoppers trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run to right to put San Bernardino on top.
