Both teams had their chances, but the Long Island Seawolves eventually prevailed at Ballpark of Remsen.
Ismael Riddles pitched well, but the Lannister United Lionhearts still lost the game, falling 3-2 to the Long Island Seawolves at Ballpark of Remsen. Galal Lone picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Ismael Riddles was tagged with the loss. Frank Porter closed the game out for Long Island, earning his 3rd save.
The Seawolves got a big at-bat from first baseman Javier De La Garza. For the game, De La Garza was 1 for 3. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 32nd hit of the season gave Long Island a 3-2 lead.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," De La Garza said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
The Seawolves improved to 18-36.
