Multi-HR Day for Mao as Atoms Overpower Seawolves, 7-6

Fans who came to Ballpark of Remsen watched the Bethesda Atoms and the Long Island Seawolves fight to the finish.
The Bethesda Atoms turned back the Long Island Seawolves, 7-6, at Ballpark of Remsen. Gong Mao was named player of the game for his fine performance. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Jules Goux earned the save, his 3rd, for the Atoms.
Bethesda used the timely hitting of Enrique Ibarra to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Atoms on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
When asked about his performance after the game, Mao said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
Bethesda has 3 straight wins, Long Island 3 straight losses.
