Farmers Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Hot N Readys
|
Lancaster turned a good effort from starter Ralph DePalma into a win over the Little Caesars Hot N Readys at The Pizza Oven. The final score was 4-1. The save went to René Fontaine, his 7th this season. The 6th-place Hot N Readys have lost 4 straight games.
Jesús Herrera went 1 for 4 for Lancaster. The 24-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Étienne Leclerc. It was his 13th RBI of the season.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Herrera.
