The Lancaster Farmers stopped the Long Island Seawolves, 7-5, at Ballpark of Remsen. The Farmers got a big game from José Medina, who was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Lancaster starter Ralph DePalma was credited with the win after throwing 115 pitches over 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Long Island's current losing streak is now 4 games.
In the top of the third, Cisco Gómez hit a run-scoring single for Lancaster. The 19th hit of the season for the Lancaster designated hitter put the Farmers on top, 4-3.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Medina.
