Grasshoppers Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
The San Bernardino Grasshoppers topped the Bethesda Atoms by the score of 5-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder John Clark. Clark was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Grasshoppers on the day. With their winning streak at 6, the Grasshoppers have raced to a strong start this season.
Andy Alderliesten had a big run-scoring triple for the Grasshoppers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With San Bernardino leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Osiris St. Brown and stroked the triple to center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Grasshoppers ahead, 2-0.
"It feels good to get this one," Clark told the San Bernardino Daily News.
