England Hits 2 home runs in Fog Win
|
The Sunset District Fog bested the Augusta Timber Hawks, 5-0, at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Arnold England was named player of the game. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. José Villarreal was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed no runs on 2 hits, with no walks and 8 strikeouts. Sunset District is now 62-40.
Sunset District grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when England, who is tied for 10th in the 3AAA with a .307 batting average, hit a solo home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Fog out in front, 1-0.
