Buzz Come Back Late to Clip Coral Reefers
|
The Key West Coral Reefers got a superb performance from pitcher Todd Serrano, but the Salt Lake City Buzz still won the game, 7-5. Serrano was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. Gregory Bahena picked up the save, his 4th. Salt Lake City has 3 straight wins, Key West 3 straight losses.
Salt Lake City took a 7-5 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With no one out, pinch hitter Fytor Ceia hit a 3-run home run that electrified the crowd.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Salt Lake City manager Kenny Billings.
