Red Pandas Raise Rally Flag, Beat Sunset District, 6-5

The Sunset District Fog got a sterling performance from pitcher Jeff Mahl, but the Red Pandas still prevailed, 6-5. Mahl was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. The third-place Fog have lost 5 straight games.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Sioux Falls trailing 5-4, Mo-ruo Teoh hit a fastball from Larry Strozier to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Red Pandas had a walk-off win.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Sioux Falls manager Matt Helsley.
