Morín Jr. Helps Disaster Run Win Streak to 7
|
A 4-RBI performance from second baseman Júlio Morín Jr., who is tied for 3rd in the 3AAA in runs scored with 56, led the Port Royal Disaster to a 7-3 win over the Houston BC. Jason Starkey, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 6-3. Port Royal has now won 7 in a row.
Port Royal used the timely hitting of Ricky Payton to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put the Disaster on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
