Loss Extends Port Royal Losing Streak
The Augusta Timber Hawks trumped the Port Royal Disaster, 9-7, at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Augusta designated hitter Damian Delaney was named player of the game for his performance. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Augusta reliever Tate Beason picked up the win, upping his record to 6-1. Magnus Scheving shouldered the loss. Gus Osborne sewed up the save, his 14th.

Delaney had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Magnus Scheving, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Timber Hawks a 8-7 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Delaney.

"We played hard and won," said Delaney. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
