Gary Chalmers put on a hitting clinic today as the Sioux Falls Red Pandas dumped the Gryfindor Braves 19-6 at Cayuse Ballpark.

The Sioux Falls catcher made Gryfindor defenders earn their pay, lashing Gryfindor pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Chalmers said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Gary Chalmers singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Denver Milne in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
