Grey Wolves Stumble, Lose to Flamingos
The Las Vegas Flamingos defeated the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 8-4, in United States Premier League action at The Strip. Ruud van Ineveld received player of the game honors. The 8-year veteran went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 4 runs. Germán Rodríguez earned the win to go to 3-2. He allowed 4 earned runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 7 strikeouts. Vancouver, at 15-17, has lost 4 straight.

Sake van Arem had a big 2-run single for the Flamingos in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Las Vegas leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Edgardo Nava and stroked the single to center. It was his 30th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flamingos ahead, 4-0.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager JJ Hoban said.
