Victory Pushes Drummers Record to 23-21
|
The Tortolita Drummers faced a tough opponent in Hamilton pitcher Stanley Kent, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Coyote Wildlife Refuge by a final score of 2-1. Kent went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The win was credited to Mariano Núñez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Stanley Kent took the loss. The Drummers bumped their record to 23-21 with this latest triumph.
Glen Allen Mixon, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AAA in triples with 3, aided the Tortolita cause with a solo home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder went 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Mixon told the Tortolita Bulletin.
