Gryfindor Topples Houston, 6-1
|
The Gryfindor Braves picked up a win at Cayuse Ballpark, knocking off the Houston BC, 6-1. On the mound for Gryfindor was right-hander Harrison Dunning, who played a pivotal role in the win. Gryfindor reliever Denver Milne picked up the win to move to 2-4. Ramón Negrón suffered the loss. Gryfindor is now 10-28, Houston 15-23.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when designated hitter Austin Hathaway, who is tied for 7th in the 3AAA in bases on balls with 25, drew a walk. The Braves went on to win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Dunning told the Gryfindor Observer.
