Rainbow Mermaids Shut Out Patriots
Ricardo García pitched a gem to lead Northern Virginia to a 7-0 victory over the Boston Patriots. Losses have been few and far between for the Patriots so far this season. Their record drops to 2-1.

Eustacio Tafalla, who is considered the best prospect in baseball by BNN, aided the Northern Virginia cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Rainbow Mermaids manager David Lister. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
