Sioux Falls second baseman Steve Irwin had a good game, even if his team did not. The Red Pandas dropped a 8-6 decision to Port Royal at The Bamboo Forest. Irwin was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Chenor Njie earned the save for Port Royal, his 7th of the year. The win puts the Disaster at 19-13, while the Red Pandas drop to 12-20.

In the top of the 6th, catcher Willis Baker gave Port Royal the lead when he hit a 2-run double. The Disaster had been trailing 6-5, but the two-out double off Sioux Falls pitcher Michael Brown changed that -- and Port Royal went on to win.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Baker.
