Drummers Ballpark was the site for M3L Triple A action featuring the Tortolita Drummers and Houston BC.
Despite a fine performance by catcher Vincent Klein, the Tortolita Drummers suffered a 12-8 loss to the Houston BC. Klein was 2-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Houston starter Shadi Zafar was credited with the win after throwing 114 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-1.
Also making an impact was first baseman Abraham Phelps, who drilled a 2-run single in the top of the third inning for the BC. For the game, Phelps was 2-5 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Phelps said. "We did a good job of that today."
After today's action, Houston sits at 14-17, while Tortolita falls to 14-17.
