Houston BC starter Jesús Franco was in fine form against the Port Royal Disaster at Houston Park, leading his team to a 3-1 win. Júlio Rodríguez earned the save for Houston, his 3rd of the year. The Disaster fall to 8-10 and continue their wobbly start to the 2034 season.
Abraham Phelps, who was drafted in the three round of the 2026 draft, aided the Houston cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 3 with a home run.
"We take it day by day here," said Phelps, "and today was a good one for us."
