Braves Solve Coyotes, 4-2
|
Gryfindor rode a good effort from starter Jorge Cedeño to beat the Hamilton Coyotes at Cayuse Ballpark. The final score was 4-2. Cedeño, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk. The Braves, with just their 5th win in 17 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
Also making an impact was right fielder Akke Derksen, who drilled a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the third inning for the Braves. For the game, Derksen was 1-3 with a triple and a walk.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Derksen.
