Buzz Come Up Short at Sioux Falls
|
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 2-1, in M3L Triple A action at The Bamboo Forest, with Sioux Falls pitcher Víctor García named player of the game. Sioux Falls reliever Víctor García was credited with the win, to go to 2-1. Chico Landi took the loss for Salt Lake City. Ricardo Gómez earned the save for Sioux Falls, his 1st of the year.
Tim Waters drove in one run for Sioux Falls. The 33-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Chico Landi. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
"Baseball is about momentum," said García, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
The Red Pandas are off to a tough start, getting just their 4th win in 12 games.
