The Salt Lake City Buzz turned back the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 3-2, at The Bamboo Forest. Orlando Casillas was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. Matko Perisc got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. The defending champion Buzz have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 5-6 with the win.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and one out in the top of the eighth inning. That's when third baseman Cooper Lowe drew a walk. The Buzz went on to win.
