Coyotes Raise Rally Flag, Beat Sioux Falls, 6-5
|
Hamilton withstood an impressive performance by Sioux Falls first baseman Richello Mabait to defeat the Red Pandas, 6-5, at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. Mabait was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With the win, Hamilton elevates its record to 5-4.
Pancho Rodríguez was the walk-off hero for Hamilton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Coyotes second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Rodríguez. "And not try to do too much."
