Fog Stun BC, 4-0
|
The Sunset District Fog picked up a win at Fog Park, knocking off the Houston BC, 4-0. Starting pitcher José Villarreal was an essential part of his team's success. The winner was Pedro Rodríguez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Nolan Howard took the loss. The win lifts Sunset District to a record of 4-2.
Had Ieyoshi Samurakami not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Samurakami hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Fog.
"Feels good to get the job done," Samurakami said after the game.
