Piranhas Lose to Cattlemen, 7-2
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen racked up a win at The Tank, bumping off the Panama City Piranhas, 7-2. Mack MacDonald, who started for Ft. Worth, pitched effectively for his team. In 6 innings, MacDonald surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The win puts the Cattlemen at 12-17, while the Piranhas drop to 13-16.
Juan Cabrera, who is tied for 10th in the 3L in doubles with 6, helped out the Ft. Worth cause in the top of the eighth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the third baseman was 2 for 5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," MacDonald said.
