Knights Knock Off Lakers at Cloverdale Legion Park

The Kingston Township Knights topped the Echo Park Lakers, 6-3, in Menard's Third League action at Cloverdale Legion Park. The player of the game was Kingston Township pitcher and El Cafetal, Venezuela native Octávio Moya. John Riggleman picked up the save for Kingston Township, his 9th of the year. Kingston Township currently is in 5th place in the Third League at 14-11.
José Icaza delivered a big hit for the Knights. The veteran catcher belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. The longball put Kingston Township on top, 2-2. Overall, Icaza went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Icaza.
