Portland starter George Eisenhauer put a stranglehold on the Las Vegas offense. The left-hander had complete command of his change up in leading the Evergreens to a 4-1 win. Eisenhauer went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-0. Keith Rojas earned the save for Portland, his 4th.
Shahid Afridi helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring triple to give Portland a 1-0 lead.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Eisenhauer.
The Evergreens' win now puts them at 13-10.
