Mullaney Wins SR Player of the Week Monday, September 5th, 2033 21-year-old Chip Mullaney made a few Capital Hill headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Rookie officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 29 at-bats to put up a .483 average. Mullaney collected 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 6 runs. Mullaney has a .311 average and a .391 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 102 hits, 12 home runs and driven in 49 runs. |
