Hernández Wins PR Player of the Week Monday, June 27th, 2033 21-year-old Juan Hernández made a few Phoenix headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USPL Rookie officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .440 average. Hernández collected 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 6 runs. Hernández is currently batting .319 with 13 home runs and 39 RBIs. |
