López Rips Surprise for 5 Hits Sunday, June 26th, 2033 Centennial third baseman Nelson López had his way with Surprise pitching today at ďAbbots Ballpark and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Shockers ruined his great day by toppling the Centennial, 11-7. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Surprise credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what López did today," Shockers skipper Eric Henley said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Nelson López singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th. López is hitting .353 this year with 1 home run and 18 RBIs.
