Mueller Hits in 20 Straight Games Friday, September 2nd, 2033 The Ladue Rams may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 3-2 to the Phoenix Hotspur Academy, but Joe Mueller continued to hit like a god. The right fielder collected 2 hits in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Mueller is playing great and is on fire right now," Rams manager Henry Henderson said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Mueller was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Joe Mueller flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Mueller is hitting .275 so far this season with 37 RBIs and 50 runs scored. He has 99 hits including 4 home runs, 7 walks and .300 OBP. |
