Memphis No Match for Li Thursday, August 18th, 2033 It wasn't easy but the Ladue Rams made it look that way. Starter Kong Li shut out the Memphis Music despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Ladue Rams cruised to victory, 8-0. Li allowed only 6 hits and rang up 8 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." So far this year Li has made 18 starts, tossed 133.1 innings, struck out 139 batters and walked 36. His record is 12-5 with a 3.58 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .249 batting average.
