Phoenix's Hernández Bags PR Top Batter for July Monday, August 1st, 2033 For a rookie just breaking in, Juan Hernández certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the PR Batter of the Month award for July. The 21-year-old first baseman for the Phoenix Hotspur Academy hit .339 with 8 home runs, 18 RBIs and 19 runs scored. This season Hernández is hitting .327 with 81 hits, 21 home runs, 57 RBIs, scored 44 runs and played in 63 games. |
