Dean Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Tuesday, July 5th, 2033 Marquette's Brock Dean accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Dean finished 4-for-6 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored and helped the Miners knock off the Reno Silver Sox 6-3 at Tennille Grounds. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Dean told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Brock Dean hit an RBI triple in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 9th and hit a two-run home run off Aaron Houchens in the 11th.
