Chesapeake Third Baseman Nets PAA Award Monday, August 15th, 2033 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the USPL Double A, but last week Santiago Valentín of the Chesapeake Continentals reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Valentín rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (10-for-20), 3 home runs and 7 RBIs to come away with the award. Valentín is swinging at a .271 pace on the year with 5 home runs, 33 RBIs and 45 runs scored. He has played in 78 games. |
