July's PAA Top Pitcher is Miners Alderliesten Monday, August 1st, 2033 There's something about a young rookie winning the USPL Double A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Eric Alderliesten, a 25-year-old starter for the Marquette Miners. In July, he topped off the month with a 5-0 mark and 1.35 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 40 innings, fanned 25 and held opposing teams to a .174 average. This year Alderliesten has posted a record of 7 wins and 4 losses with a 4.08 ERA. He has appeared in 13 games and struck out 59 in 88.1 innings. |
