Gómez and Leclerc Brawl, League Suspends Them Thursday, June 16th, 2033 After an intense confrontation, both the Farmers Cisco Gómez and the Hot N Readys Étienne Leclerc were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Lancaster-Little Caesars game. Both players will miss 10 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Cisco Gómez commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Gómez is hitting .215 this year with 2 home runs and 17 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .268, 10 walks and scored 15 times. So far this year Leclerc has made 8 starts, tossed 45.1 innings, struck out 25 batters and walked 21. His record is 1-4 with a 6.75 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .319 batting average. |
