Sperber Wins SAA Player of the Week Prize Monday, July 18th, 2033 So far in his young career, Murray Sperber has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Asheville Highlanders center fielder hit at a torrid .474 clip as he collected 9 hits in 19 at-bats, 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Sperber is hitting at a .340 mark this season. His stats show 5 home runs, 23 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has played 26 games for the Highlanders. |
