Malone Wins 3AA Best Player Award Monday, September 12th, 2033 27-year-old Gary Malone made a few Salem headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 5 hits in 8 at-bats to put up a .625 average. Malone collected 2 home runs, 3 RBIs and scored 2 runs. This year Malone has collected a .321 batting average to date with 69 hits in 215 at-bats, 48 RBIs, 13 home runs and scored 33 times. He has played in 69 games. |
