Howard Wins 3AA Best Player Award Monday, September 5th, 2033 24-year-old Mike Howard made a few San Antonio headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 27 at-bats to put up a .481 average. Howard collected 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 5 runs. This season Howard is swinging the bat at a .245 rate with 65 hits in 265 at-bats. To date he has hit 3 home runs, scored 30 runs and driven in 31. |
