Recesvinto and Mitchell Brawl, League Suspends Them Sunday, September 4th, 2033 After an intense confrontation, both the Rawhides Jesús Recesvinto and the Hops Henry Mitchell were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Belvedere Park-Yakima game. Both players will miss 4 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Jesús Recesvinto commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Recesvinto is hitting .252 this year with 10 home runs and 41 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .372, 64 walks and scored 51 times. |
