Congdon Slaps 5 Hits Wednesday, July 13th, 2033 Mason Congdon of the Rapiers was unstoppable in today's 15-7 victory over the San Bernardino Grasshoppers at Field of the Grasshoppers. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Durham third baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Mason Congdon singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a three-run home run off Rafael Bernal in the 9th.
