Javier Jr. and Pérez Brawl, League Suspends Them
Thursday, September 1st, 2033
After an intense confrontation, both the Flyers Raúl Javier Jr. and the Lake Monsters Santiago Pérez were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Pennsauken-Vermont game. Both players will miss 8 games as a result of their actions.

"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Raúl Javier Jr. commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."

Javier Jr. is hitting .193 so far this season with 13 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 23 hits including 2 home runs, 16 walks and .307 OBP.

So far this year Pérez has nailed down no saves. His won-lost record is 2-0 with a 5.53 ERA.
