Cain Wins SAAA Best Player Award Monday, August 29th, 2033 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the USSL Triple A, but last week Gabe Cain of the Vermont Lake Monsters reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Cain rocked opposing pitching for a .462 average (6-for-13), 1 home run and 5 RBIs to come away with the award. This year Cain has collected a .324 batting average to date with 57 hits in 176 at-bats, 27 RBIs, 2 home runs and scored 27 times. He has played in 52 games. |
