Téllez Hits in 20 Straight Games Friday, August 12th, 2033 Ricardo Téllez extended his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games today in the Vermont 12-0 triumph over the Athletic Club KC Reserves. The 29-year-old Lake Monsters second baseman collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats. "Of course it's going to end," he said. "I'm just enjoying it until then." Ricardo Téllez grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Sacco Brouwers in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Adam Taylor in the 6th and struck out in the 7th. Téllez is hitting .296 so far this season with 44 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 99 hits including 9 home runs, 21 walks and .333 OBP. |
