Yen and Pérez Brawl, League Suspends Them Thursday, July 21st, 2033 After an intense confrontation, both the Targaryens Yun Yen and the Lake Monsters Santiago Pérez were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Royse City-Vermont game. Both players will miss 9 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Yun Yen commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Yen is hitting .308 this year with 11 home runs and 26 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .426, 23 walks and scored 25 times. To date this year Pérez has won 1 and lost 0 with a 5.95 ERA, no saves and 9 strikeouts in 14 relief appearances. |
