Supernovas Pontojį Gone for Year
Tuesday, August 30th, 2033
The season is finished for Gilberto Pontojį of the Scranton Supernovas. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Supernovas starting pitcher suffered forearm inflammation while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Baltimore Black Sox. Team doctors said it would take at least 5 months to heal.

To date this year, Pontojį shows a 6-8 record, 16 starts, 106 innings, 74 strikeouts and a 4.25 ERA.
