Solís and Manansala Brawl, League Suspends Them Thursday, August 11th, 2033 After an intense confrontation, both the Supernovas Alonso Solís and the Rocks Rizaldo Manansala were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Scranton-Plymouth game. Both players will miss 2 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Alonso Solís commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Solís is hitting .195 so far this season with 21 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 33 hits including 3 home runs, 23 walks and .310 OBP. In the current season in 14 starts, Rizaldo Manansala has a record of 7-2 with 64 strikeouts in 92.1 innings and a 4.19 ERA. |
