Season Ends for Alberto Mendoza of Baltimore Sunday, August 7th, 2033 The season is ending on a bad note for Alberto Mendoza, reliever for the Baltimore Black Sox. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Mendoza was hurt against the Bloomington Longnecks while throwing a pitch. He suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and will be out for at least 11-12 months. To date this year Mendoza has won 1 and lost 0 with a 3.68 ERA, no saves and 13 strikeouts in 14 relief appearances. |
