Red-Hot Pond Scorches Golden Cranes Thursday, July 28th, 2033 Senior Pond really sizzled at the plate in today's 8-3 win over Golden Cranes. The Scranton center fielder blistered Santa Barbara for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Pond was too tough to get out today," the Golden Cranes skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Senior Pond singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
